Interview with Giorgio Zingrillo, the owner of Ibidise, Ibiza´s concierge that makes your dreams come true

Giorgio Zingrillo, the owner of Ibidise, who fell in love with Ibiza is a tourism industry professional. Giorgio wasborn in Italy, studied accounting and at the age of twenty moved to London, where he dedicated himself to hospitality industry and a few years later he moved to Miami. Finally he landed in Ibiza, the island where he formed a family with his partner, who, according to Giorgio is the reason why he runs a concierge company today in the first place.

In today's article he will talk about his professional career, the exceptional services of a concierge and above all, how to enjoy Ibiza. And, what characterizes him the most is his attention to details, and that is exactly what he projects in his business!

What does being a concierge mean to you?

Working within customer service is a unique experience, but being a concierge in Ibiza is something exceptional. It is an arduous job, but a rewarding one. In addition, this job means great responsibility, since our clients fully trust our services and procedures. It is a pleasure to be able to show and introduce all our clients this wonderful island!

What skills should a concierge have?

Definitely it´s not the only job that has these characteristics, but I believe a concierge encompasses many positions in one: not only do you have to know the island of Ibiza to the millimeter, but you must also learn to select what type of places are suitable for our clients. I would say that a good concierge is a person with greatcommunication skills, social skills, a tour guide, a problem solver, a foodie, someone with curiosity, cultural knowledge, perseverance ... It is a profession that requires many skills, training and experience ... But above all, dedication!

Could you share with us a funny story you have experienced?

In Ibidise and in concierge in general, the word "no" does not exist. The impossible becomes possible and there are no impossibles. One of the most important skills is to always a miraculous solution for any challengeand, the more extravagant the request, the more it motivates us! We have always everything planned exactly to minutes, and that is one of the most important things for perfect operation. One of the things that defines Ibidise is discretion, so, with great regret, I cannot reveal any experiences that I have faced in my professional career.

Would you advise to use a concierge when in Ibiza?

I do not think it is advisable, I consider that hiring a concierge in Ibiza is essential! With the times we live in today, (cancellations, restrictions and border closures) it is much more important to do so now then ever before. I think that hiring a concierge service gives the opportunity to, not only adapt to the client's needs, but also, knowing exactly what they want and need is one of the things which characterizes our corporateobjectives (and it should go with any concierge agency).

What is the biggest advantage of being concierge for you?

Without any doubt, I would say the possibility of interacting with our clients in both a professional and personal way. We get to know the tastes and needs of the people who trust us, and that ends up generating an important emotional bond. I don't think there is a better feeling in the world than helping someone to get to know a little better this beautiful island we live in.
